Streamsong, Florida – Nov. 19, 2014 – For the second consecutive year, Streamsong Resort’s two courses, Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue, have been named to Golfweek’s list of Best Resort Courses for 2015, adding to the resort’s growing list of accolades. In only its second year of operation, Streamsong Red was ranked No. 12 and Streamsong Blue ranked No.14, maintaining the impressive rankings they achieved in their first year of operation.
The Golfweek magazine list, compiled annually utilizing Golfweek’s panel of course raters around the country, appears online and in the November 2014 issue.
“This prestigious ranking from Golfweek is a great testament to the authentic golf experience at Streamsong and to our team which is so passionate about celebrating the game of golf,” said Rich Mack, executive vice president and CFO of The Mosaic Company. “We are proud of the place Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue have carved out in the golf world in just two short years. We have high expectations for Streamsong, its future and the experience we will bring to our valued customers.”
Streamsong Resort is built on approximately 16,000 acres of former phosphate mining land and includes the extraordinary terrain where Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw of Coore & Crenshaw (Streamsong Red) and Tom Doak of Renaissance Golf Design (Streamsong Blue) leveraged their architectural talents to create two unparalleled, intersecting golf courses unlike any others in Florida. Since their grand opening in January 2013, the two courses have racked up an impressive list of awards and accolades for their pure golf experience.
The resort features a 216-room Lodge and a 12-room Clubhouse designed by Alfonso Architects, 24,000 square-feet of flexible conference and meeting space, casual and fine dining and a full-service grotto-style spa. The property also includes outdoor reception areas, a lakeside pool, a hiking and birding trail, guided bass fishing and sporting clays.
